Intead, wash after thawing before use. Blackberries can be washed prior to freezing. For smaller amounts, place the berries in a single layer on a cookie tray to freeze.

Once frozen, transfer the berries to a ziplock freezer bag for long term storage. Remove as much air as possible to prevent freezer burn.
