Blue Bird on my shoulder. Joined Jan 21, First time swapping from Disney to RCC. I am trying to decide between buying the refreshment package and the soda package. I am a coffee drinker and I do enjoy a nice glass of juice with breakfast but will be mostly using it for soda.
Any perks to the refreshment package that may not be obvious? Do you have to have the souvenir soda cup with you to get sodas? do I have to bring it to the main dining with me? or will they give me a soda in a glass when I want it?

No difference between packages regarding where you can get soda. Obviously the refreshment package costs more, and includes those other items.
Juice, well the regular stuff is included with breakfast but the fresh squeezed is what you can get with the package. Coffee, plain stuff is free but if you want the espresso, latte, etc then refreshment package includes that.
They usually have a coffee card as well, something like 10 coffee for whatever price it varies by ship and sailing, and sale. Keep in mind you can't use the refreshment package at Starbucks.

I bought the package on our last cruise thinking I could use it to get a latte at breakfast or with my dessert at dinner, but the servers informed me that's not how it works they did make an exception the first time and were nice enough to grab a latte for me with my card, but it was a one-time only thing.
If I had known that ahead of time, I wouldn't have gotten the card, as I ended up with a lot of extra punches left on the card. Regular drip coffee is available everywhere and doesn't cost anything extra, so that's what I usually had at breakfast.
