After doing some research, I ordered this CareTouch Blood Glucose Monitoring System because it had good reviews and I liked the fact that it includes just about everything I needed in one kit. So far, I've been happy with my purchase. I appreciate that CareTouch included batteries for the glucometer, a carrying case, two count packs of testing strips, a lancing device, and lancets. The only thing it didn't include was CareTouch Control Solution, which is advised to test the system before using it the first time, when opening a new pack of testing strips, etc. It took me a little while to track down the solution Amazon didn't have it in stock at the time I purchased this kit , but when I finally found it and tested my new system, the result was in range so I was good to go. The system seems to work well, though sometimes it's a little challenging to remove a single testing strip from the container they often stick together , and sometimes I'm not quick enough after inserting the testing strip to clean and prick my finger and squeeze out a large enough droplet of blood, so the screen will go blank or give me an error before it reads my blood sample.
