It will do. The size is good. Slim, fits in my small hand. However, I can tell this is not going to hold up very well unless I'm very careful when turning the page and when I stuff it in my bag.

The paper is rather thin. Kinda reminds me of when I was a kid and we were too poor to afford the "good Mead notebooks" and had the get the cheap store brand notebooks that ripped 2 weeks later.

With that said I do like the simplicity of this notebook. No fuss, just business. The back of the page has lines for you to take notes, notes, nutrition, sleep. It came in a pack of 3 and for the price, I can't complain.

This is a simple product at a great price point that is very useful. If you're tracking daily, each of the three notebooks has enough pages for at least two months of tracking, so this little pack will last you half the year and then some.

I like that there's space on the back page for notes so you can track additional info at your discretion.

I keep my workout log and daily goals there so I have everything in one convenient location. I purchased this set years ago so this is my second time purchasing this exact item. I will purchase again in the future and highly recommend this product.

ORIGINAL REVIEW Excellent concept; poor execution. I used to use Portage pads when I was a journalist, so I was expecting reasonably high quality paper, a stiff backing, and minimal graphics bleed since the reporters' pads are subjected to all sorts of jostling around in weather, and the not infrequent water or coffee spill.

And the graphics, graphical layout, and information are actually quite good. First, the paper is so thin that the graphics clearly bleed through to the other side of the page they're printed double-sided. Second, and more importantly, the ink from several types of pens will end up showing on the back side of the page, and occasionally on the following clear page.

I have been using a fine point, and a ball point pen, both with regular pressure, and the ink bleed through mars the back side. Using a roller ball or anything else will result in a mess. Third, the paper is so flimsy that the pages easily separate from the spiral binding up top when flipping through.

You don't need to tug on or flip the pages aggressively for this to occur. I don't recall this happening with any of the Portage reporters pads I used to use.

I actually will buy a set of those to see if there is a difference in paper quality. I used the reporter's pads several years ago, so I don't have recent experience with them.

This should have been an absolute winner. I was expecting it to be an absolute winner. It is not a winner, UPDATE Within a week of posting this review, I received an email via Amazon from a Portage customer representative acknowledging my disappointment in the product and offering to remedy the issue.

The representative explained that there was a "bad batch" of these pads that had subpar paper quality which I describe above and those pads somehow got distributed into the market.

This could be how you felt before and after, or if you had any pain. Jot down anything that you reflect on throughout the day. This could be emotions, insights, or goals. Be sure to include hobbies and time spent with others. You also should make note of any questions or concerns that you want to discuss with your doctor.

Each day, look at what you wrote down in your journal. Compare it to other days to learn patterns and become more aware.

For instance, did you eat from all five food groups? Did you skip a meal? This assessment will help you make healthy changes in your daily life. You may be surprised by what you find out and how helpful a journal can be.
